Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Macrobatch, operated by Macrobatch ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Macrobatch you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Macrobatch.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep your login details secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create a household account. The account is a single email and password shared by your whole household, and as the account holder you are responsible for how household members use that shared login.

2. Not medical advice

Macrobatch computes calorie and protein estimates to help with meal planning. These are estimates, not medical, dietetic, or nutrition advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Get professional advice before relying on targets for children, during pregnancy, or with any medical condition. Macrobatch is not intended for managing medical conditions or eating disorders.

3. Early access

Macrobatch is provided on a beta basis. Features may change, break, or be added or removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may modify or discontinue the service, or any feature, at any time. We recommend you keep your own copies of important records, such as recipes you have written.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use Macrobatch to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the service, or use it to store or send unlawful content. You must not resell or provide the service to third parties outside your own household.

5. Your data

As between you and us, your household owns the data you enter into Macrobatch, including meal plans, recipes, ingredients, shopping lists, and photos you upload. You grant us the licence needed to host, process, and display that data to provide the service. You are responsible for the content of any photos you upload, including recipe photos.

6. Our intellectual property

We own Macrobatch, including the software, design, branding, and recipe templates. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you. The Macrobatch name and logo may not be used without our permission.

7. Fees

Macrobatch is free to use while it is in beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice before any charges apply to your account, and you may choose to stop using the paid features rather than be charged.

8. Third-party services

Macrobatch relies on third-party services and may link to or integrate with them. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

9. Consumer guarantees and warranties

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Macrobatch is provided "as is" and "as available", and we exclude all other warranties, express or implied.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 9, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of Macrobatch. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. While Macrobatch is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability to you is limited to AUD 100.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Macrobatch and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably need to protect the service or other users. On termination your right to use Macrobatch ends. We will make your data available for a reasonable period where practicable before deletion, subject to any legal retention requirements.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is material we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
